The build quality is sturdy and it weighs 180 grams[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243275” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] The settings menu is slightly modified and it has a memory booster icon located right on top. The 5-inch form factor means that single-handed use is not practical in all use-cases[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243271” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] On the top of the phone, you just have a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the front face at the top there is the audio speaker section, a proximity sensor and a 2MP front-facing camera[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243272” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] On the bottom you have a microUSB port along with a microphone port. There are three capacitive keys on the bezel[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243273” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] On the right hand side of the Gionee Marathon M3, you have a volume rocker and a power/standby button[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243274” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] The left hand edge is clean. We like the silver coloured strip across the edges[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243276” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] The camera interface of the Gionee Marathon M3 is similar to that seen on its elder siblings such as the Gionee S5.5[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243277” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] Opening the rear cover is quite a task as the opening notch it located on the top left hand corner. Those with long nails may even end up breaking a few of them. We had to employ tweezers to get the rear cover to open. You see the 5000mAh battery which is non removable. On top of it, you have the two microSIM slots and a microSD card slot[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_243278” align=“aligncenter” width=“1280”] On the back of the Gionee Marathon M3, you will find an 8MP camera beside which you have the LED flash unit and slightly below a microphone for recording sound while shooting videos[/caption]
