ZTE enters Indian market with six smartphones

ZTE enters Indian market with six smartphones

ZTE has taken its first step in India, and the company has kicked this off with six smartphone launches. These smartphones are the Grand X Quad Lite, the Blade L, the Kis Flex, the Blade E, the Blade G2 and the Blade C. The Android-based smartphones cover a wide spectrum of prices: the Grand X is priced at Rs 14,999, the G2 at Rs 11,599, the Blade C at Rs 7,599, the Blade L at Rs 12,599, the Kis Flex at Rs 5,799 and the Blade E at Rs 11,999.

All of these smartphones have a few things in common, namely, they all run on Android and 512MB of RAM. While most of these run on recent version of Android, namely Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, the lowest end of the lot—the Kis Flex—runs on the very old Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Grand X Quad Lite is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has 1GB of internal storage and support for a microSD card up to 32GB. It has a 5-inch display and a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. This gives it a pixel density of 220 ppi. It is a dual-SIM handset that supports a 3G SIM and a 2G (GSM) SIM. Connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The shooter is a 5 megapixel camera on the back, along with a VGA front-facing camera. All of this is kept alive by a 2500 mAh battery.

The Blade L has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has 4GB of internal storage along with support for a microSD card of up to 32GB. It has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 186 ppi. It is a dual-SIM handset. Connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The shooter is a 5 megapixel camera, along with a VGA front-facing camera. All of this is kept alive by a 2000 mAh battery.

The ZTE Blade C has a 4-inch display

The Kis Flex is the cheapest of the lot and runs on a 1GHz processor on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This is also the exception among ZTE’s line-up with just 256 MB of RAM. It has 512MB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. Its 3.5-inch display has a resolution of 480 x 320, giving it a pixel density of 164 ppi. It is a dual-SIM handset. Connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The shooter is a 2 megapixel fixed-focus camera. It is kept alive by a 1200 mAh battery.

The Blade G2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It has 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. It has a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, giving it the same pixel density as the Blade E—217 ppi. The dual-SIM phone’s connectivity options include 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The shooter on this is a 5 megapixel camera, along with a VGA front-facing camera. It is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery.
