ZOTAC launches the GTX 780 for Rs 47,990

ZOTAC has launched the new Nvidia flagship GPU – the GeForce GTX 780. The card was originally launched by Nvidia yesterday. It is the first card in the company’s new GeForce 700 series and is meant to replace the previous flagship card by the company – the GTX 680. The card is available at an MSRP of Rs 47,990. Check out our review of the GTX 780.

The GTX 780 has a powerful Kepler-based GPU under the hood and has 2,304 cores and 3GB of GDDR5 memory – both being 50 percent higher than the 780’s predecessor – the GTX 680.

“ZOTAC continues to refine the PC gaming experience. The new generation GeForce GTX 780 is our latest evolutionary upgrade that packs the massively powerful nextgeneration NVIDIA Kepler GPU into a dual-slot card that decimates the competition,” says Carsten Berger, Senior Director, ZOTAC International. “Hardware enthusiasts and extreme PC gamers seeking one of the best graphics  cards available will be very satisfied with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780.”

The GeForce GTX 780 supports Nvidia’s array of gaming technologies, including PhysX and Nvidia TXAA. The company also claims that the newest GeForce drivers reduce frame time variations to provide smoother frame delivery. The GPU also supports Nvidia’s SLI technology, which is said to scale to deliver even higher levels of performance.

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 capable of syncing with Nvidia’s handheld gaming device – the Shield. Users can stream games from their computers directly to the Shield.

Much like any other GPU that Nvidia makes these days, the GeForce GTX 780 is equipped with Nvidia’s GPU Boost 2.0 technology, which automatically increases the GPU’s clock speeds for enhanced performance, while adding temperature target and fan controls, as well as extra over-voltage headroom and optimisations for advanced water-cooling solutions.

“PC gaming is evolving into an easily-accessible platform that can be enjoyed by gamers of all technical skill levels. The inclusion of technology such as NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 and GeForce Experience software makes it easy for everyone to get the best performance possible from their games and ZOTAC GeForce graphics cards,” Mr. Berger added. “All of the latest technologies and features can be found in our ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780, which is perfect for all gamers whether they want to play on their PC or stream it to an NVIDIA SHIELD gaming-portable.”

A new Splinter Cell Compilation game bundle is included with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 780 in preparation of the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The compilation includes Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Splinter Cell: Conviction. The Blacklist will also be available to those who buy the graphics card when it hits stores.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
