Chinese smartphone maker Zopo is a relatively new player as far as the Indian market is concerned and it will be launching its flagship device - the Zopo Speed 8 - at an even in New Delhi on 20 July. The highlight of the Zopo Speed 8 is the fact that it is the first phone to be released with MediaTek’s deca-core CPU sporting Helio X20 chipset. The Zopo Speed 8 comes with the Helio X20 MT6797 chipset which houses a 10-core processor arranged in a tri-cluster of 2 cores + 4 cores + 4 cores. This is paired with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB onboard storage and you cannot add in a microSD card to expand the storage. The phone sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Zopo Speed 8 comes with a 21MP rear camera which comprises the Sony IMX230 sensor and there is an 8MP camera on the front. It is powered by a 3600mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, you get 3G/4G with support for Indian LTE bands, Wi-fi 802.11b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB port and FM Radio. Zopo had launched the Speed 8 along with the Speed 7C at the Mobile World Congress in February 2016. Its launch price was $299.99 which comes to approximately Rs 20,150. It had previously launched the Zopo Speed 7 in the Indian market at Rs 12,999.
The highlight of the Zopo Speed 8 is the fact that it is the first phone to be released with MediaTek’s deca-core CPU sporting Helio X20 chipset.
