Zopo Speed 8 launched in India with MediaTek deca-core processor

Zopo Mobile today launched its new flagship smartphone the Speed 8 in India claiming it to be the world’s first deca-core smartphone since the handset was first  unveiled at MWC 2016 back in February. The Zopo Speed 8 is a successor to last year’s Speed 7 is powered by a Helio X20 64-bit CPU with ten cores. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage . On the front there is a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS Symmetrical display with an 8MP selfie camera. The back features a fingerprint scanner and 21MP camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor with a dual-LED flash. The company has also used a USB Type-C port, which is slowly becoming the preferred choice for smartphone makers. Other features include a 3,600mAh battery, stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow, NFC, 4G LTE and dual-SIM card slots. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 29,999 and will go on sale today on online as well as offline channels. Announcing the launch at a press conference, Kevin Xu, Founder Zopo brand, commented, “The smartphone market in India is going through a cut-throat competition of sorts and relevance and technology innovation dictates what is here to stay.
