Yu is holding an event today in New Delhi where it is expected to launch a new mid-range smartphone. However, a few hours before launch, the Yunique smartphone was spotted on Snapdeal, for a price of Rs 4,999. Another variant of the phone with two back panels was priced at Rs 5499 respectively. The Snapdeal Yu Yunique page has now been pulled down. In addition, details indicated that the registration for the smartphone closes at 8am on September 14 and the flash sale will be at 12pm on September 15. The listing indicated that the device went by the name Yunique and in terms of features, would sport a 4.7-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop with CyanogenMod 12.1 on top, the device would include an internal storage at 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32B via micro SD card. The dual-sim handset would be equipped with an 8MP rear camera along with a 2MP fixed-focus 83-degree wide-angle front-facing camera along with 3P Lens. In terms of connectivity, the device includes Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio and Micro-USB v2.0. It is backed by a non-removable 2000mAh Li-Po battery and the company claims that the smartphone delivers 7 hours of talk time and 271 hours of standby time.
