Yu on September 14 announced its newest model to the YUREKA series called as the YUREKA 2. The phone has been announced at a price of Rs 11,999 and is available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart during the Big Billion Day Sale which begins on 20 September. In terms of the core hardware the device has an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset alongside 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM which is expandable up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 3,930 mAh battery which is supported by Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. In terms of the camera the phone packs in a 16 MP rear shooter with a dual-LED flash coupled with a front camera with an 8 MP sensor. The phone offers dual-SIM support in which one slot accepts a micro SIM while the other a nano SIM. Connectivity options on the phone include a micro-USB port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone also has a gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and an accelerometer. The launch comes after recently Yu made a comeback and launched the Yu Yureka Black budget handset at a price of Rs 8,999. The Yu brand has been launched by Micromax co-founder, Rahul Sharma.
