YouTube to invest over $5 million for the 'Creators for Change' program to stir more positivity, to avoid another Logan Paul like debacle

YouTube is increasing investment in its Creators for Change program. YouTube in a statement said that it has made an investment of over $5 million to provide support for ushering positivity on YouTube. [caption id=“attachment_4127703” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  YouTube is going to start cracking down on gun videos[/caption] In order to bring diversity, YouTube will introduce more tools and educate the users on ‘How to create change, and empower more young people to use their voices to encourage positive social messages.’ The announcement was a part of **YouTube’s** Creators for Change Summit which has been taking every year since 2016. This year it took place in London where leaders who were trying to bring social change were invited. Recently, YouTube received flak for giving space to YouTube influencers like  Logan Paul  who was criticised for his ‘suicide forest’ video. Though YouTube took down the video, it did take ten days to address the issue. Logan Paul was later removed from YouTube Red as well. Apart from this, YouTube was also **criticised** for allowing extremist content to flourish on their platform. This extremist content includes hate speech, videos promoting terrorism and other videos which promote disharmony.
