Sony has been putting in a lot of work for its latest imaging-centric smartphone, dubbed Honami. The most recent leak that reinforces the camera’s specs.
A Taiwanese site, ePrice, has also reported that the device may be coming with a 20.7-megapixel ExmorRS sensor. That is similar in size to what Samsung’s Galaxy Camera sports. In addition to the sensor, it seems like Sony is also planning to pair the device with Sony G-Lens.
So far, the specification sheet of the phone suggests that Honami may be coming with a 5-inch 1080p display which will have a Triluminos display with OptiContrast and X-Reality Engine technologies. The Triluminos display has already been seen in the Xperia Z Ultra .

New leaks have reinforced the rumour that Honami may come with a 20.7 MP sensor..
Sony’s Honami will also get full HD resolution for the display, according to the rumour mills. Internally, the Honami should be powered by Qualcomm newest Snapdragon 800 SoC. While the quad-core CPU will be clocked at 2.3GHz, the Adreno 330 GPU that will be part of the chipset is definitely the best in the market.
Additionally, the Honami could come with 2GB of RAM. Internal memory, so far, stands at 16 GB, with an option of putting in a microSD card. This is a new development, because earlier talk suggested that the smartphone may come with 32 GB of internal memory. Honami could also get a fairly massive 3,000mAh battery to power the show.
Sony is not the only one who is planning to come up with an image-centric smartphone. Nokia recently came up with the Lumia 1020 , which has a 41-megapixel camera as well as a 6-lens design. Another contender in this arena is the Galaxy S4 Zoom , which has a 16 megapixel camera sensor with optical zoom. With these many players jumping into the category, users can be assured of having choice when it comes to buying a smartphone with a great camera.
