Yellow iPhone 5C first to sell out as pre-orders open up

We’ve all looked at the colourful line up of iPhone 5Cs that Apple unveiled last week and we all have our favourite shade to choose. One question that seems to be on everyone’s mind is, “which colour is the most popular of them all?” Wonder no more. The answer is the yellow coloured iPhone 5C.

Following pre-orders opening up for the iPhone 5C, the unlocked yellow version of the device has already sold out, with the Apple website now showing “Available to ship by 9/25” for the colour. Most other colours are still showing a delivery date of September 20, though.

Apple’s Honk Kong website has the iPhone 5C listed for pre-order too now. The delivery duration is displayed as “1-2 weeks” in the country. According to 9to5 Mac, all models and colours of the device are shipping in Canada between September 20 and September 24 as well.

Besides these three countries, Apple is already accepting pre-orders for the “budget” version of the iPhone 5C in Australia, UK, China, France, Germany and Singapore. India does not figure in the first wave of countries that will be able to own the iPhone 5C this month, but hopefully the phone will get here just in time for Diwali, by end of October.

Apple is, however, not put up its more expensive iPhone 5S up for preorders like the iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5S will go up straight for sale on September 20 without the company bothering to let people reserve one for themselves. You can start queuing in front of the Apple Store already.
