Yahoo Messenger updated; now let users chat in Hindi

Yahoo has begun rolling out an update for its Messenger app. The new update brings a couple of improvements and a new feature, with the highlight being Hindi language support that for now is only available for Android users. Yahoo claims that is this is the first time its Messenger has added support for non-English languages. The languages that Messenger now supports includes Hindi (only on Android), Chinese, French, German, Indonesian and Spanish. ![Yahoo Messenger (1)](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Yahoo-Messenger-1.png) Other features that have been added as well including the ability to sync and match a user’s mobile contacts instantly. This according to Yahoo will help users find and chat with their friends easily. All a user will need to do is enable access to contacts in the Messenger app. This works on both iOS and Android. Back in December, Yahoo had pushed out a massive update that let users send and even unsend photos, messages, animated GIFs and more. New Yahoo Messenger apps were released in English for smartphones or tablets powered by Apple or Android software, as were versions of the service tailored for use on the Web or on desktop computers. It was the first complete remake of Yahoo Messenger since it was introduced 17 years ago and comes as smartphone lifestyles had led to a booming trend of firing off digital missives or photos at nearly any opportunity.
