Xperia Arc to Get Android 2.3.3 in India

Here’s a small update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The smartphone was running on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread and now Sony Ericsson India has announced the 2.3.3 update for the same. The update is available through the PC Companion software, but it hasn’t gone over the air  yet. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise though, because a couple of months back, Sony Ericsson had globally announced that the update would be coming to the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play. Now AndroidOS.in says that the update has hit India.

You can expect some stability in the handset’s software and the Wi-Fi feature. Also, the touch responsiveness will be improved to provide a better feel of the interface. The HD video recording, as well as the battery performance is also expected to see improvement.
