Xolo launches Play Tegra Note for Rs 17,999

Xolo has launched what it claims to be the world’s fastest 7-inch Android tablet called the “Xolo Play Tegra Note.” The tablet is currently up for pre-booking on on Flipkart, and will be available during the third week of December.

Xolo has launched what it claims to be the world’s fastest 7-inch Android tablet called the “Xolo Play Tegra Note,” for a price of Rs 17,999. The tablet is currently up for pre-booking on on Flipkart , and will be available during the third week of December. Xolo is also offering users who pre-book the tablet a smart cover worth Rs 2,499.

The Xolo Play Tegra Note is powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 4 (4 x Cortex A15) processor clocked at 1.8GHz. For Graphics it has 72 Cores Tegra 40S GPU. It runs Android 4.2.2 version of Jelly Bean but according to Xolo the tablet will be upgradeable to Android versions 4.3 and 4.4 later on, although it has not specified when the update will be out.

The tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800x1280 pixels. It is not a full HD screen and the pixel density is 216 pixels per inch. In terms of memory, it has 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of space. It also comes with a MicroSD slot with 64 GB as the limit. The tablet also has a Micro HDMI slot.

It has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. The video playback quality is 1080 p which is full HD. It’s not clear if the tablet camera comes with a flash. The tablet supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The tablet also comes with a stylus - Nvidia DirectStylus. The Xolo Play Tegra Note is powered by the Nvidia PureAudio technology which claims to give users true stereo experience.

As far as browsing time is concerned, Xolo is offering upto to 8.2 hours of browsing on the tablet via WiFi. It also claims 10 hours of video playback.
