Xolo has announced it s latest entry-level smartphone called the Era 4K at Rs 6,499. The smartphone’s highlights include a massive 4000mAh battery and the presence of 4G bands that should make for some great hardware in the competitive budget smartphone market. The Xolo Era 4K will be available in white and Dark Blue colours and will be exclusive to Gadgets360. The first flash sale takes place on 22 February and the registration window for the same opens today and will remain open till 9:59AM IST on the day of the sale. The smartphone sports a 5-inch fully laminated IPS LCD HD (1280x720 pixels) display with a Gorilla Glass 3 screen for protection. Inside, we get a 1GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). The camera department consists of an 8MP rear camera with a dual LED flash, while the front-facing unit is a 5MP one with f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options include a dual SIM setup with 4G LTE bands, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and an FM radio to complete the package. All of the above hardware is fuelled by a 4,000 mAh battery, that according to Xolo can deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and 528 hours of standby time on 3G connectivity. Xolo has indeed stepped into a really competitive zone with the Era 4K. Huawei has its Honor Holly 2 Plus that was launched on 15 February at Rs 8,499, while the Lenovo Vibe P1m has been on sale at Rs 7,999 for quite some time. Both smartphone’s packs in better hardware but are priced quite close, which makes for a sweeter deal.
