Xiaomi has launched Mi Body Composition Scale, a fitness device that measures body composition statistics including body weight, body mass index, muscle mass and more. The smart fitness device is priced at Rs 1,999 and can be purchased only from the official mi.com website. While the device does feature an LED display, it can be connected to the Mi Fit app to follow detailed statistics.

Xiaomi's Mi Body Composition Scale is square in shape and weights 1.6 kg. It supports Bluetooth 4.0 and can be connected to the smartphone to sync the data using the Mi Fit app. The fitness device is compatible with both Android and Apple iOS devices which are running on Android 4.4 or iOS 8.0 and above. Mi Body Composition Scale is powered by four AAA batteries that can power the device for eight months.

The fitness device by Xiaomi can provide information based on ten accurate data points and can measure weight, body mass index (BMI), muscle mass, body fat, total amount of water in the body, bone mass, visceral fat, basal metabolism (the minimum energy required to keep your body functioning at rest) and shows a body score that includes the overall evaluation of the users body composition.

Xiaomi's fitness device can even store different profiles for different family members. The Mi Body Composition Scale can identify and store data of up to sixteen users. Moreover, it will also automatically identify these different profiles, distinguishing adults from children.
