Xiaomi Redmi Pro and Redmi Note 4: Here's why there could be two

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi seems to be going all out in China to promote the launch of its Redmi Pro smartphone. While we have seen leaks and teasers in the past, today’s new leak simply confirms presence of a Helio X20 chipset and gold finish on the Redmi Pro and even more. The new leak once again appeared on Weibo and goes on to reveal some more features about Xiaomi’s soon to be announced Redmi Pro smartphone. This time around the teaser reveals two more dishes after yesterday’s ‘OLED Ping’. The new dishes when loosely translated read ’ten nuclear double stem head’ and ‘brushed gold potato’ which hint at a deca-core chipset and a brushed gold metal finish like we had seen in a previous leak. While many have reported that Xiaomi will launch a smartphone with the Helio X25, we highly doubt that this would be the case. This is because at recent MediaTek conference, Meizu boss Bai Yongxiang confirmed that the Meizu Pro 6 will feature the Helio X25 SoC. He also went on about how the X25 (which is an enhanced version of the X20) was co-developed by MediaTek and Meizu. Also confirmed at the same event was that Meizu had exclusive access to the same chipset for several months after launch, preventing the competition (Xiaomi in this case) from using the high-end silicon. (GizmoChina)[/caption] Another feature which was teased today confirms that Redmi Pro will feature a brushed gold finish. This also means that Xiaomi will be launching its second all-metal smartphone after the Mi 3. Earlier leaks hinted at a Redmi Note 4 with MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. We have seen plenty of confusing leaks about both which makes us believe that there could be two smartphones launched along with a laptop on 27 July.
