Xiaomi has made huge name for itself in China with its marketing and sales tactics, and as a result it has also got the attention of those outside its home country. Hugo Barra, the former Android VP  **left Google**  to join Xiaomi last year, had **earlier confirmed** that the company will soon enter the Indian market with aggressive pricing. Now, reports circulating the web reveal that Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder and chief executive officer has announced to begin smartphone sales in India, Brazil, Russia and seven other countries.   Xiaomi soon sent out a tweet from its official account naming all the 10 countriies that it plans to enter - Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico.   Read the tweet below:  However, the company hasn’t mentioned any specific launch dates for these countries. In an interview with Bloomberg, Bin Lin, President and co-founder, Xiaomi revealed, “You can certainly call this acceleration. It’s our mission and our belief that this model should be able to achieve some level of success outside of China.”   Xiaomi reportedly keeps the device costs lower by selling them directly to consumers online. On April 8, the company recorded 1.5 billion yuan ($240 million) in orders during a one-day Web sale in China, says the report. In fact, Lei has reportedly set a goal of increasing the sales fivefold to 100 million phones in 2015.
