Xiaomi might be working on a smartphone to compete with Apple's newly launched iPhone SE. An image has surfaced online which shows an unspecified 4.3-inch smartphone running MIUI.
The leaked image was spotted on Weibo and also sheds some details regarding specifications. The device is said to feature a 4.3-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It's powered by a 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It terms of storage, the device is likely to feature an internal storage of 32GB. Sporting a fingerprint scanner, the device will include a 13MP rear camera and is expected to carry a price tag of CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs 18,400).
Xiaomi will launch the Mi 5 in India this week. According to an invite the company sent us, the event will be held in Delhi and reads ‘Everything you imagined, and more’. We aren’t sure if the company will launch all variants here, or if it also plans to put on display the Mi Pad, which is competing with the iPad Air.
The Mi5 is priced at RMB 1999 (approximately Rs 20,000) for a 32GB variant, RMB 2299 (approximately Rs 23,000) for a 64GB and the Mi5 Pro for RMB 2699 (approximately Rs 27,000), with 128GB of storage.
