Xiaomi sends out a new teaser; Could it be a 32GB Mi 4i?

Xiaomi will complete one year in India on 22 July. In order to celebrate the occasion, the company has put out a cryptic teaser as follows.  Xiaomi India has added this caption to the image, “Something new is coming your way this 22nd July, spearheading our #MiAnniversary birthday celebrations.” Speculations have already started flying thick in the comments section about whether this will be a brand new device - the Mi 5 or a new high capacity variant of existing devices, most likely the Mi 4i, Mi 4 or even the Redmi 2. Mi 5 has not yet got an international release, so a launch of that phone in India looks unlikely. It most likely looks like the Mi 4i will get a 32GB upgrade, since Mi 4 has already got a price drop. Adding another variant of that product will just lead to cannibalisation of either the 16GB or 64GB variant priced at Rs 14,999 and  Rs 19,999 respectively. A 32GB Mi 4i priced at Rs 15,999 or Rs 16,999 could easily fill the gap between the two Mi 4 variants, thereby giving Xiaomi a wide price range to play around with, starting with the Redmi 2 at Rs 5,999. Xiaomi has been on a product release spree in the last couple of weeks. We have seen Xiaomi **Mi TV 2S** , Mi Water Purifier  and smart shoes  among other things. It would be good to see either of these products in the India market to as part of its anniversary celebrations. But these are just speculations. There has been no official word from Xiaomi on what product(s) will be launched on 22 July.
