Xiaomi rumoured to be working on a smaller variant of the bezel-less Mi Mix; images leak online

Xiaomi introduced the Mi Mix recently which is truly the most interesting smartphone designs of 2016. It takes on Sharp’s bezel-less Aquos smartphone and takes it further by making this ultra gorgeous piece of tech and throwing in top of the line specifications.

In fact, the smartphone is gaining so much attention in China, that the first lot was said to be sold out in 20 seconds. If you still don’t know why this smartphone is such a big deal then you should know that it offers a 6.4-inch 2K display that covers almost 91 percent of the entire face of the smartphone. With that you get the latest Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage along with a 16MP rear camera.

The Chinese giant did however disappoint many when it confirmed that the handset will be limited to a few countries and won’t be heading to India. However, a recent leak suggests that the company is already working on a smaller version of the Mi Mix which will have almost similar specs and design.

If the leaked images turn out to be true, then Xiaomi could release a smaller variant with a 5.5-inch display with the name Mi Mix Nano. The new handset is claimed to come with 64GB storage with rest of the specifications could remain the same however there is no mention about the display resolution and battery specifications.

There is a possibility that the new handset will launch by next month, although there is no confirmation from Xiaomi. A bunch of photos have leaked online showing the difference in size, and one showing the model number.

Lets just hope if Xiaomi does make a Mi Mix Nano, it gets the handset to India.
