Xiaomi finally rolls out Android 7.0 upgrade for the Mi Max

After a full year of waiting Chinese smartphone manufacturer **Xiaomi** , has finally announced a global rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat on the **Mi Max** and the update build will be MIUI 8.5.1.0. The update supposedly brings in a host of new changes which includes better and more efficient CPU resource allocation, new toggles for common settings in search results, and also a new option which can hide the content of notifications on the lock screen. That last is a default feature in stock Android, but Xiaomi tends to heavily modify the OS, so we’re glad it’s there. The May security patch is also bought in by the new update and there are also going to be updates to optimize the performance. However, the update is only available to those who have the 3GB RAM version so Mi Max Prime owners will currently not receive any updates. The Xiaomi Mi Max packs in everything one would expect from a ‘Max’ smartphone and more. By more we mean its humongous size and that large 6.4-inch Full HD IPS LCD display. Inside, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The phone also has a 16 MP f/2.0 aperture camera with PDAF and a dual tone LED flash. The front facing camera is a 5 MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture. Powering it all is a 4,850 mAh battery.
