Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 4A will go on sale on 2 May at 12 pm on Mi.com. E-commerce giant Amazon will sell the Redmi 4A in a flash sale today at 12 pm. If you are interested in buying the smartphone then you can use the websites as well as mobile apps for both the e-commerce platforms to try your luck during the sale. One thing to note here is that Mi Store is offering a discount of Rs 500 on the purchase of the smartphone.
Xiaomi products have a tremendous demand in the Indian market and they end up selling out within minutes of going on sale. The servers for both the platforms, Mi.com and Flipkart, get hammered as soon as the sale starts so you need to be quick to ensure that you are successful in buying the Redmi 4.
The Redmi 4A is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz and sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) display. The device packs an Adreno 308 GPU to handle the graphics, along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage with a microSD card to expand the storage on the base model.
The company has added a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the back along with a 5 MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the front. The smartphone is powered by a 3,120 mAH battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE-enabled dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, infrared and microUSB 2.0.
The company has launched the Redmi 4 Note before the launch of the Redmi 4A. Xiaomi followed up on the Redmi 4A by launching the Redmi 4 earlier this year. All three smartphones launched by the company target different price points and different audiences.
