Xiaomi Redmi 3s to be launched in India next week, say reports

Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 3 in India in March and it did see good sales. But looks like the Chinese phone maker will launch another Redmi phone in India as early as next week. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s is expected to be released in India in the first week of August.

There are no details about the cost factor, but in China, the Redmi 3s starts from RMB 699 (approx Rs 7,200). The 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM version costs RMB 699 (approx Rs 7,200) and the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM version costs RMB 899 (approx Rs 9,200).

The phone was launched in China last month. The Chinese Redmi 3s comes with a 5-inch HD display and is around 8.5mm thick. The phone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC which has an octa-core processor. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back.

On the camera front, you will get a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a single flash unit, phase detect AF and a 5MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The Redmi 3s sports a 4100mAh battery.

We do not know if Xiaomi will release the Redmi 3s in India with the same specifications as the Chinese one, as we had seen the Redmi Note 3 launch with a different SoC from the Chinese variant.
