Xiaomi is on a roll. After announcing the Mi Sports Bluetooth headset and the Fresh Air Mask , the company has announced a new pair of in-ear wired headphones. The new Piston 3 Pro headphones are the successor to the Piston 2 which were a great value for money headphones.
The new Piston 2 Pro are said to have undergone 700 quality tests which were more strict than the industry standard, so one can expect them to be quite durable. Having an anodised CNC diamond-cut aluminium sound chamber, the headphones come with a CD pattern engraved design and a Graphene diaphragm to produce more natural sounds, says Xiaomi.
The in-ear headphones offer an impedance value of 32 Ohms, a frequency range of 20-40KHz and a 1.25-metre long wire with three in-line control buttons. The Piston 3 Pro headphones are priced at CNY 149 ( Rs 1,500 approx).
Notably, the recently announced Mi Sports Bluetooth headset is also priced at the same value but sounds much better as it is IPx4 rated, offers a 7-hour battery life and of course Bluetooth connectivity.
No info as to when Xiaomi will launch the Piston 3 Pro headphones or for that matter, the Mi Sports Bluetooth headset, for the Indian market. There is a possibility that the company will silently announce the products in the coming months.
