Rumours about the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 having a Samsung-made curved Amoled display were already doing the rounds these past few weeks. Now, a new report has emerged revealing some more of the tablet’s specs.

Sources tell GSMarena that the tablet will be 5.7 inches in size, like its predecessor. It will possibly have a 3D touch, pressure sensitive display and the resolution will be QHD. The report adds that the Mi Note 2 will be powered by either a Snapdragon 820 or 823 SoC. RAM on the Mi Note 2 is expected to be 4GB or even 6GB. Storage options will vary from 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and possibly to 256GB.

The report adds that the camera will feature a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor, with OIS. As far as the battery is concerned, it will be of a 3600mAh, fast charging variety.

The rumours come just as Xiaomi prepares for the India launch of the Mi5 . There is a possibility that iPad Air competitor, the Mi Pad will also be unveiled at the same event. Xiaomi founder and CEO, Lei Jun, had made claims that the Mi Note Pro which went on sale last year, would take on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in looks, size and image quality.

The Note Pro also features a 5.7-inch screen – slightly larger than the 5.5-inch one on the iPhone 6 Plus. It has a 2K (2560 x 1440) display with a pixel density of 515 ppi. It features a 3D curved glass on the back and 2.5D curved glass on the front. Taking a dig at Apple once again, Xiaomi had said that the Mi Note’s main camera does not protrude out. The Mi Note has a 4MP front camera with large, 2 micron pixels.
