Along with the new flagship phablets, Mi Note and Note Pro , Xiaomi has also announced a new media streamer, called the Mi Box mini. Going by its name, its quite literally a tiny tot. Compared to Xiaomi’s previous Android-based streaming devices, the Mi Box mini is extremely small and looks like a USB plug-in charger. In this small form factor, the device packs in a 1.3GHz quad-Cortex-A7 MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4.2. The device also comes with 4GB of onboard storage along with support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and supports DTS 2.0 Dolby Digital Plus. The Bluetooth support helps with the remote control and other accessories. It also comes with support for HDMI 1.4a for 1080p 3D video output. However, this time, Xiaomi has given USB port and microSD slot a miss. One will have to sideload apps using desktop remote installation software. The Mi Box Mini will hit stores on January 20 for about $30,which translates to approximately Rs 1800. At the event, Xiaomi also took the wraps off its new flagships, the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro, which aims to compete with the **Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus** .
