Xiaomi Mi Band 2; This feature packed fitness band for Rs 1,999 sells out within minutes

Mi Band 2, the affordable and feature packed fitness tracker by Xiaomi went on sale on Mi.com today at 12 PM. The fitness band sold out within minutes of the first sale. The number of fitness bands up for sale in this sale was not known but considering this to be the first sale for the fitness band in the country; we are hopeful that the number would be significant. This is the fourth version of Mi Band series and the second to go on sale in the country. The first generation of Mi Band was a hit in the country with IDC reporting it to the second most shipped wearable in the world.

Mi Band 2 is the first fitness tracker by the company to pack an OLED display and touch button on the front. The pedometer algorithm has been improved, and this version packs the heart rate sensor at the back. You can customise the screen and information provided on the OLED display, and the band can help you track steps, heart rate, sleep in addition to keeping you updated about time. The band can be configured to give you alert notifications for calls and selected apps. All these features can be configured in the bundled Mi Fit app. People who could not get their hands during this sale can wait for 30 September when Mi Band 2 heads to Amazon and Mi Store for sale.

The fitness band was announced during a recent Xiaomi event in New Delhi , and the launch comes months after the fitness band went on sale in China. Mi Band 2 is a significant improvement over its predecessors and much more affordable to the rival fitness bands in the market. You can set the band to unlock your smartphone and in addition to all these features; it is water and dustproof with the IP67 rating, capable of surviving rugged training sessions.
