Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 to launch soon, details leaked

Xiaomi is gearing to launch Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 in India according to a recent leak of the YouTube live stream page. The YouTube live stream description states that the company will announce the device on September 21, 2016, sometime in the afternoon. The company is banking on the popularity of Xiaomi products in the budget conscious market.

The launch will follow the live stream format like the Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime, and Mi Drone launch. Xiaomi VR Hugo Barra had previously hinted about the launch of Mi Air Purifier as reported by Techpp. The Air Purifier 2 was launched in China initially at 699 Yuan which converts to approximately at Rs 7,250 approximately. Specs wise, the device is slimmer and compact that first generation, Mi Air Purifier. The device cleans air at 388 cubic meters/hour with increased power efficiency and lesser noise generation. Xiaomi has a large portfolio of devices apart from smartphones, power banks, and fitness bands. However, most of the devices are limited to the Chinese market. Xiaomi is gradually launching devices from the expansive Mi ecosystem like the Mi Smartbike, Mi Band 2 among others.
