Xiaomi had launched its flagship Mi 5 smartphone in India at an event held in New Delhi. The 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 24,999. In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 5 borrows a lot of elements from its Mi Note series phones. It sports a 5.15-inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 428ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with the custom Kryo cores in a quad-core set up. Handling the graphics will be the Adreno 530 GPU. It also includes a front-facing fingerprint scanner. The smartphone sports a 16MP Sony IMX298 camera sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and LED flash, while the front-facing unit is a 4MP 2-micron sensor, with 2-micron pixels. Both cameras feature an f/2.0 aperture as well. On the connectivity front, the device includes VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/ac, 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, GLONASS, and NFC.
