Previous reports have been claiming November launch for the Xiaomi Mi 5, and now a new report by Mobipicker not only sings to the similar tune but also reveals the complete specs sheet. According to the latest report, the Xiaomi Mi 5 codenamed Libra will feature the fingerprint scanner technology. However, there is no word on how it will work. A previous report had hinted at a fingerprint scanner, named Sense ID. This sensor is said to work on ultrasound technology rather than on optical which is seen in the current fingerprint sensors. The report further reveals a 5.3-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution, and pixel density that goes up to 554ppi, instead of the previously rumoured 5.5-inch display. The internals include a Snapdragon 820, a new chipset not yet released by Qualcomm. The chipset will be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 16/64GB internal storage. A 3,030mAh battery is expected to power the device, slightly lower than lower than the 3,080mAh battery seen on its predecessor. On the camera front, one can expect a 16MP rear snapper and a 6MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers. The handset will run Android 5.1.1. Most of the specs are in line with what we’ve hearing previously from other sources, except for a few differences. For now, lets take the specs with a pinch of salt. Those is no mention of the probable price or exact launch date yet. The report doesn’t talk about the larger variant, the alleged **Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus** , which will feature a 6-inch 2K display and a nearly bezel-less display. Not much is known about the device, but going by previous report, one can expect 4GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage and 16-megapixel rear camera.
