Finally, the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 4i is here and it will further intensify the competition in the sub-15k mobile segment. With superb specs such as 5-inch display with 441 ppi, 13MP camera and octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, it comes at a jaw-dropping price point of Rs 12,999. As the device is set to hit store shelves on April 30, we decided to pit the Mi 4i with other devices in the similar price bracket.
Take a look at the comparison chart below:
The Yu Yureka brings a large screen experience at 5.5-inches HD display, but the Mi 4i seems like a clear winner with its Full HD 5-inch display with pixel density that goes all the way up to 441 ppi. All three devices come with a scratch resistant layer. The Mi 4i is also lighter than the other two. The Yureka and Mi 4i are powered by Snapdragon 615 aong with 2GB RAM, so it should be decent at multitasking. However, Moto G disappoints with the older Snapdragon 400 with 1GB RAM. However, this doesn't mean the performance will be bad. The Mi 4i also steals the brownie points with a bigger 3120mAh battery that it plans to couple with battery optimising features. The company also promises quick charging.
Xiaomi and Micromax seem to be at par with the camera with 13MP rear snapper and a 5MP camera for selfies. Finally, the crucial factor is the pricing. The Yu Yureka is priced Rs 4000 less than than the Mi 4i and also comes with an expandable storage slot, making it a steal under Rs 10,000. However, if you are looking for a lighter device with a better display and battery, then Mi 4i is definitely a good bet. However, Moto G comes from a seasoned OEM and is still a good option for those who prefer stock Android. If you are just looking at the price point, the Mi 4i is the clear winner here with a better specs sheet.
