Xiaomi Mi 4i to go on sale for Rs 11,999 starting from 18 November

Xiaomi is finally reducing the price of the 16 GB variant of its Mi 4i smartphone. The reduction is a mere Rs 1,000 that brings the price of the smartphone down to Rs 11,999 from the current Rs 12,999. From the time it was launched in India, Xiaomi’s Mi 4i smartphone has seen positive reviews and found a lot of buyers for its mid-range internals. And this is probably the reason why it has not seen too many price cuts. The smartphone started out at Rs 12,999 at launch and has so far seen no permanent price cuts. So the Rs 11,999 price tag will indeed be a great choice for those looking for a budget smartphone with mid-range internals. The Mi 4i will start selling at the new lowered price at midnight on 18 November at 00:00 hrs on Mi.com and will also be available with Xiaomi’s partners at Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Store and Airtel. Coming down to the hardware specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 4i, we get a 5 inch Full HD display. Behind it hides an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset coupled with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. In the camera department we get a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front-facing unit. The device packs in dual 4G SIM slot (something that gives it an edge over the Mi 4) and is powered by a 3120 mAh battery. While we do not see buyers from other smartphone segment reaching out for a lower-priced Mi 4i, it will still make sense for buyers who are looking to buy exactly that.
