Xiaomi Mi 4i event as it happened: Priced at Rs 12,999, the smartphone sports 5-inch display, 13MP camera

With the Mi band, users can unlock their smartphones and tablets too.

Barra also announced the Mi Band at the event as well. Will work with iOS and Android.

Dual micro-SIM and dual standby support

On the software side, it also comes with support for more languages now.

It will feature Visual IVR to MIUI to bypass those long IVR calls by giving you a text output of preset options.  

It runs Android Lollipop based MI UI 6

It comes with four performance cores at 1.7 GHz, and four power saving cores at 1.1 GHz. It has been designed by Qualcomm India.

Sunlight Display technology allows the phone to do dynamic tone mapping which keeps image quality balanced in bright sunlight.

It gets a fully laminated display with great black levels, says Barra. Mi 4i comes with Sunlight Display.

Mi 4i comes with a higher color saturation than the iPhone 6 and fully laminated OGS display. 

Talking about the display, the Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a full HD display and pixel density that goes up to 441ppi.

It gets a quick charge feature

It will be fuelled by a 3120mAh battery.

Users can expect a soft touch matte finish along with anti grease coating.

It will be the same height as the iPhone 6 with a 10pc larger screen.

Mi 4i comes with a 5-inch display. It will be 7.8 mm thick and weigh 130 grams.

Single polycarbonate body that wraps entire device.
