Xiaomi Mi 4, Mi Note Android 6.0 Marshmallow update coming soon

Smartphone maker Xiaomi’s MIUI Operations Manager has put out small post on Weibo with some big news indeed. The post states that the company’s Mi 4 and Mi Note smartphones will be the first ones in its line-up to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. More importantly, the manager also clarified that users would be getting the latest version of Android soon and that company has already rolled out the software to its closed beta testers community. While Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi Note users would be enjoying Android 6.0 and its new features, things will be limited to MIUI 7 on the forefront as there are currently no plans to update the same. Mi fans who own an Mi 4 smartphone will indeed be in for treat as the smartphone would be getting its second milestone update since its launch with Android 4.4 KitKat. As for the Mi Note, it has not been launched in India just yet, so the news about the same would be good enough for those looking for a flagship from Xiaomi. Mi 4 owners have been in for a treat lately. It was just yesterday that Xiaomi rolled out an update for those using the LTE version of the smartphone, giving them the choice to choose between Windows 10 or Android. For now there is no confirmation about when a similar update for the 3G variant of the Mi 3 (sold in India) would arrive. However, there is plenty of news and rumours surrounding its successor the Mi 5 that also expected to be announced soon.
