Flipkart and Xiaomi continue its Tuesday mania and will put up the Mi 3 on sale today at 2PM. This week too, 20,000 units of the Mi 3 will go on sale,
exclusively on Flipkart
. The company claims that it has already received over 75,000 registrations by Saturday. However, the registrations window was still open until yesterday.
Xiaomi’s bestselling Mi 3 has been receiving
overwhelming response
in India each week. The huge response has even led to temporarily
crashing of the e-store
. The first batch went ‘out of stock’ within 40 minutes, the
second batch
apparently sold in five seconds. Its third batch sold out at a record less than two seconds and we saw a similar figure of 2.4 seconds for its latest flash sale that took place last week. At just Rs 13,999, it packs a Snapdragon 800, which is by far the cheapest high-end phone available in the market. It will compete with the likes of the Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, Xperia Z at nearly half the price. Read our Xiaomi Mi 3 review, to find out if it is worth buying. The quad-core processor has been being clocked at 2.3GHz and the chipset also has an Adreno 330 GPU. It includes 2GB of RAM, which is good enough to handle all those apps and services, running on the custom MiUI OS. Xiaomi has released some benchmarks claiming that the Mi 3 is faster than some devices from big brands such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Connectivity in the smartphone is taken care of with dual-band WiFi (with support for ac band) and NFC support. Despite the relatively slim form, the Mi-3 comes with a pretty impressive 3,050mAh battery.
