Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi might soon follow Samsung and could possibly, take a step ahead too! The company is reportedly working on a smartphone with a complete edge display.
According to a report by Chinese website mobile-dad, the smartphone will go by the name Xiaomi Mi Edge and, does pick up a similar design to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. In terms of specifications, the device is rumoured to sport a 5.2-inch 2K display from Sharp along with a Snapdragon 808 chipset and either between 3GB – 4GB RAM. It is expected to sport a 16MP rear camera and a fingerprint scanner.
In addition, the handset is set to include some metal in build, maybe the frame of the device. It is believed that the smartphone might launch as soon as October in place of the Xiaomi Mi5. Analysts think that the the curved display smartphone might be priced at 2500 Yuan (Rs 26,000). Earlier this month, the company introduced the latest MIUI 7 OS. Alongside, the company had also announced limited edition of its Mi4i in special colours – pink, yellow, sky and black colours.
