Leaked images of what appear to be a Helio P20 powered Xiaomi smartphone have been leaked on Weibo.
The images indicate that the phone is powered by an 8-core Helio P20, which is in-turn paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, reports Gizmochina. The P20 is clocked at 2.2GHz and the phone is running MIUI 8 on top of Android 6.0. Some speculate that the phone uses 5.5-inch screen with 2.5D glass.
Reportedly, the user who posted the image claims that the phone will sell for the same price as the recently unveiled Mi 5s, which seems a rather odd choice of pricing. The Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus are Xiaomi’s current flagship offerings in China. They’re both powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC and available with 3GB or 4GB RAM depending on storage.
This leaked phone is rumoured to be a Redmi device or a Xiaomi 5c. The latter seems unlikely because the 5c is expected to be a smaller Mi 5s. If this phone is indeed of the budget-friendly Redmi family, expect the price to be much lower.
