Xiaomi has announced a pair of new headphones dubbed as 'Mi Dual-Unit Half-Ear' headphones in the Chinese market. The company has priced the headphones at 69 CNY or about Rs 700. The headphones are wired and do not support Bluetooth connectivity.
The headphones come with a glossy ceramic body and use an half-ear structure which keeps the shell of the earphones outside the ear. As per a GizmoChina report, this has been done to protect the ear canal from any damage. The headphone wire is made using a soft Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) material which, according to the company, will not twist or get entangled easily.
Inside the headphones, we find a dual-unit dynamic coil along with a ceramic horn acoustic structure. The company claims that these components will result in clear sound and better noise reduction. A microphone has been integrated into the headphones along with a three-button control system. The headphones have a 90 ° plug design, which the company claims will protect the wire and extend the life of the headset.
As per the report, the headphones have passed the Hi-Res Audio certification of the Japan Audio Association asserting that they can produce a high listening experience. In terms of colour options, the users have a choice of two colours which are black and white. The headphones will be sold at Mi Home offline stores in China.
