Xiaomi claims that it has sold over 10 million smartphones in September 2017

Chinese smartphone and electronics maker Xiaomi announced that the company has sold over 10 million smartphones in the month of September. He stated that this is the first time that Xiaomi has crossed the 10 million mark for monthly smartphone sales. He noted that one out of every ten smartphones sold last month was sold in the two days of sale in India with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 leading the market as pointed in the report by GSMArena. This comes right after the company issued an announcement that it sold over one million smartphones in two days in the Indian market. The reason for such high demand was the simultaneous sale offers by Flipkart and Amazon in view of the approaching festival season. The company stated that it has sold about 1.3 million smartphones in about 48 hours. Xiaomi is working to upgrade its capacity to ship more smartphones. The report by GSMArena points out that Xiaomi is looking at a much better outlook for 2017 after its shipments fell to 58 million in 2016 from the 70 million in 2015.
