Image: Weibo[/caption] This could indeed be the long-rumoured successor to the Mi Band that has now begun to age. Tagged as the ‘Band 2’ the wearable appears to have an oblong capsule-shaped look similar to the Mi Band and Mi Band 1S but has gotten flatter. It also features a button on the front and a LED display that in the image appears to show off the time. There is a rubber strap similar to the original Mi Band to hold the unit in place. Older details come from a Chinese website
, who in an interview with Huami Technology’s CEO, Wang. Wang who worked with Xiaomi on the first Mi Band, is also working on building the next Mi Band and a smartwatch. Both devices are expected to be announced in the next two months. Wang states that the new smartwatch will work towards reducing its dependability on a smartphone to display information which is why there’s a display.
