Last week we got to know a lot of details about the soon to be launched Xiaomi Mi Max . While we have been checking out renders of this giant phablet, there is now another leaked photograph that gives us a better idea as to what it looks like in the flesh. Along with this there is also another live image of the much-rumoured Xiaomi wearable, the Mi Band 2. [caption id=“attachment_312812” align=“aligncenter” width=“600”] Image: Weibo[/caption] Both images leaked out through Weibo and were first reported by mobipicker. The live image revealing the design of the Mi Max shows off something similar to what we have seen in the past. The design looks identical to the Xiaomi Mi Note with the only difference being the size of the display. On the Mi Note, we have the ambient light and proximity sensors sitting above the receiver while the same now sits to the left of the receiver due to the space crunch. The same can also be said about the bottom half that shows a thinner bezel with the now standard capacitive navigation buttons. There’s the SIM tray that oddly sits on the right side, with no sign of the volume rocker and power button (presumably on the left). What is not visible from this leak is the back of the smartphone that is expected to be a made of metal. While the same was confirmed thanks to Xiaomi founder Lei Jun, the new image shows off a yellow coloured silicon band with the capsule shaped wearable popped out of it. Also visible is the new display with a circular button next to it, similar to what we saw in the earlier teaser image. Xiaomi has scheduled an event for the launch of the Mi Max in China on 10 May.
