Here is a description of the game according to the website for the game: “Threatened by an unknown enemy, the Earth’s governments unite to form an elite paramilitary organization, known as XCOM, to combat this extraterrestrial attack. As the commander of XCOM, you control the global defense team in a battle against a terrifying alien invasion by creating a fully operational base, researching alien technologies, planning combat missions, and controlling soldier movement in battle.”

The game is developed by turn-based strategy veterans Firaxis who have earlier been responsible for the much-praised Civilization series.

Earlier this year, the company had released another iOS game, dubbed Haunted Hollow . It is a free-to-play game where you build and rule a mansion that spawns monsters. You can then send the monsters to fight rivals for territory. Since it’s a free-to-play game, it’s bound to have micro-transactions. When you’re fighting with rivals for territory, you can power-up with each monster’s own menacing powers and additional enhancements.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
