XCOM delayed

Last week 2K games announced an RTS update of the once popular XCOM franchise and now it seems the first person shooter based in that universe has been delayed. Details were not given out explaining the cause of delay but if I were to be brutally honest, the game looked pretty average at best and my guess is that 2K Marin will use the additional time to apply a serious amount of polish to the title.

We Mad Men alright

In case you weren’t paying attention at E3 2011, XCOM was to release on the 6th of March 2011, the same day Mass Effect 3 releases and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that everyone is more than excited to play through Commander Shepard’s third and final adventure. 2K games haven’t given us a new date but it seems the game will now ship during their fiscal quarter of 2013 that should be anytime between the 1st of April 2012 to the 31st of March 2013.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
