Apple’s conference for developers begins today and perhaps one of the biggest changes will be seen in the company’s mobile operating software for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch. iOS 7 the successor to iOS 6 will see drastic design changes.
Here’s a quick look at what to expect:
Design: No more skeuomorphic or shaped based design. For instance the Notepad app has a notepad icon. According to the rumour buzz, icons will look plain and simple, offering more consistency from app to app. The new design is likely to favor black and white elements rather than splashes of colour.
9to5Mac had reported the yellow notepad-inspired Notes app and Leather-bound Calendar interfaces on the iPhone and iPad will no longer be present.

The reason for this design overhaul is Apple’s design chief Jonathan Ive who feels that the current design with its emphasis on textures and shapes is not for the future and wants more consistency across apps to create an iOS feel.
Flickr Vimeo Signin: 9to5mac reported that iOS 7 could come with built-in functionality for automatically uploading to Flickr and Vimeo. What this means is that users can just go into settings on iOS, and their log into their Flickr and Vimeo account to post videos and share photos. iOS6 already allows users to post directly from Facebook and Twitter without open the app separately.
AirDrop According to 9to5Mac Apple has been testing the AirDrop drag-and-drop file sharing capabilities on iOS 7.
AirDrop essentially allows Mac users to share files with other Mac users without the need for a Wi-Fi network or storage device. If this comes to iOS 7, it would be a boon for iPad, iTouch and iPhone users.
