It’s been less than a week since the launch of the latest expansion of World of Warcraft, and a guild named “
TwentyFifthNovember
” has already cleared all the
PvE
content! The guild is formed by two of the most popular and accomplished guilds in World of Warcraft - Nihilum and SK Gaming (a.k.a. Curse), and this is what they had to say:
_
We are proud to declare that all WOTLK PVE raid content has now been cleared. This is both a moment of triumph and a cause for concern. The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer? Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game raiders?_

I’ve been playing the expansion since launch, and I’d have to agree with them - the content HAS been toned down a lot to suit the needs of casual gamers. Will this sacrifice of hardcore content to make room for casual players pay off? By the looks of it, yes, but that’s really sad for all who’ve driven by the challenge that’s always been a part of WoW’s PvE content.
