 "Windows 7 "Beta" Appears On Torrents")
Windows 7 which was first demonstrated at PDC last month, has appeared as “Beta 1” on torrent sites. While this new build (build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400) does not seem to be significantly different from the one showed at PDC, it never the less does indicate that Microsoft is making rapid progress on the new OS.
The things that seemed to have changed in the new build are improvements in the new OS’s memory usage and the availability of the iconized task bar. This report here by ZDNET, here details a few of the changes. Check it out for further details
