Singer-songwriter Will.i.am has released a new pair of Bluetooth headphones called the i.am+ EPs Bluetooth wireless headphones. The earbuds for each ear are connected with one single cord, are priced at a hefty 229.95 USD (approximately Rs 15,560) and will be exclusively sold at Apple.com and Apple Stores.
The headphones look snazzy and have apparently been inspired by old vinyl records. Apart from the standard black model buyers will also be able to purchase a gold option that is available at the same price.
Similar to the Bluetooth headphones we have seen so far. The i.am+ EPs headphones come with magnetic backs that clip together when not in use. The headphones also feature a built-in mic along with volume controls and feature 14nm drivers in the earphones.
The headphones indeed look like a more radical version of the much-rumoured Bluetooth headphones from Apple. Analysts claim that the Cupertino giant may skip on the 3.5mm headphone jack and will go with Bluetooth connected headphones instead of the standard wired Earpods. Apple’s smartphones are also expected to focus on delivering better quality audio with rumours claiming up to 4 speakers on the iPhone 7 Plus models.
