Wild Blood now available on iOS App Store

Gameloft has been hard at work on its new iOS offering Wild Blood. The game is finally out for iPhones and iPads. The game is compatible with the iPhone 3GS and all devices after it, and requires iOS 4.0 and above. The game boasts of a variety of features, including multiplayer with 8-player team deathmatch and capture the flag game modes.

According to Gameloft, the story of the game goes, “King Arthur has gone mad, fueled by his jealousy toward Lancelot for romancing his wife, Queen Guinevere. In his desperation, Arthur has been tricked by his sister, the all-powerful sorceress Morgana Le Fey, to open the Hellgate and allow all forms of demons to enter the world. Meanwhile, Morgana has captured Guinevere and holds her hostage on the magical island of Avalon. Now Lancelot needs to confront King Arthur and Morgana, and free the world from these evil creatures and save Guinevere.”

Wild Blood got a trailer last month where Gameloft showed off much of the gameplay of the game, including the level up system, different kinds of weapons and a variety of spells you can use. The game looks like an action rpg (role playing game) with a focus on combat, much like the Fable series or Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, with a focus on hack and slash gameplay as opposed to stats or other character development.

This is the next major game by Gameloft after the release of Asphalt 7 back in August. The game, titled Asphalt 7: Heat, was available for iOS devices from the second half of June, and in August, Gameloft released it for its Android counterparts.

One of the most highly anticipated racing games of 2012, Asphalt 7: Heat recently manoeuvred its way on to the iTunes App Store. Building on the huge success of Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, this year’s racing game from Gameloft comes with 60 different cars from the world’s best manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin. Like most racing games, the cars that you own in the game can be modified visually and internally. This helps unlock various goals within the game. By adding different modifications to the cars, you can avail of features such as Nitro boosts and various other ways to win the race.

Speaking at the launch of the new Asphalt game, Julien Fournials, Senior Vice President Production at Gameloft, said, “We’re thrilled to see the enthusiastic welcome Asphalt 7: Heat has received all over the world. Throughout development, our production teams have invested a great deal of passion and determination to bring technical and graphical innovation and to give life to the intensity of high-speed racing, while still delivering a compelling and engaging experience for everyone. The dazzling start of this latest installment of Asphalt, a best-selling franchise with more than 50 million downloads since launch, crowns the series as the benchmark racing game for smartphones and tablets”.

Wild Blood can be downloaded from the App Store for $6.99 (around Rs 390).

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
