WickedLeak Wammy Note to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

WickedLeak has announced that the Wammy Note will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Wammy Sensation will get the update in the first quarter of 2013.

WickedLeak Wammy Note to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

WickedLeak has announced that the Wammy Note will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Wammy Sensation will get the update in the first quarter of 2013.

The Wammy Note, which sports a 5-inch touchscreen, has been priced at Rs 11,000. The device measures 144 x 89 x 12 mm and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. A 2,500 mAh battery gives you up to 8 hours of talk time and 260 hours of standby time. The Wammy Note features an 8 megapixel camera with Burst mode, which lets you snap 16 photos in 5 seconds. The Wammy Note comes with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The internal memory is expandable up to 16 GB via TF card.

The Wammy Note will now get sweeter with Jelly Bean

The company claims that with this, the Wammy Note has become the first budget phablet to have Jelly Bean in an extremely competitive market. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will bring a few new features to the handsets, including Google Now, expandable notifications, a new camera app and more. All the Wammy Notes shipped from December 11, 2012 onwards will be pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. WickedLeak claims that Wammy Note users can listen to FM radio on the device without connecting a pair of earphones. The smartphone comes with an analogue TV antenna.

  • 3G, Wi-Fi 
  • GPS with A-GPS support and voice navigation

  • 8 megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • FM radio

WickedLeak will be shortly introducing a 4.7-inch smartphone called Wammy Sensation. The smartphone costs Rs 16,000 and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The smartphone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, has dual-SIM capabilities (2G and 3G), and a 12 megapixel rear camera that allows for panoramic shots of up to 260 degrees. It is fuelled by a 2,000 mAh battery.
