White Nexus 4 press shots leaked

If you’ve been keeping track of every news there is about the white Nexus 4, here’s something that would make you happier. Press images of the white Nexus 4 - model number E960W - have been leaked, according to Android Police. If that is keeping you optimistic, don’t worry you’re not alone.

That said, if you’ve been particularly on the lookout for the 32GB variant of the ‘white’ Nexus 4, there may some disappointment in store for you. The tipster who shared the images with the guys at Android Police, told them that the white Nexus 4 will be available in 8GB and 16GB varieties. As for the remainder of the specs, they’re the same as before.

Earlier reports on the white Nexus 4 had said that it may come with Android 4.3 upon its June 10 launch. However, according to the details at the moment, the fact that the phone will come with Android 4.3 cannot be confirmed, however they say it is possible, especially if it launches on June 10. It may even come sooner than that, the report says.

Earlier this month, guys at Android and me managed to lay their hands on the white Nexus 4 smartphone and said that “it’s a carbon copy of the previous Nexus 4, just with a different color casing”.

They even went as far as saying that the white Nexus 4 will arrive on the Google Play store on June 10, with Android 4.3 in tow.

The report said, “Sources at Google say they wanted to demonstrate their ability to roll out new services and APIs without upgrading the Android firmware, and it appears they made their point.” Android 4.3 is expected to be a rather minor update, according to the report. It said the developer API level should go up to v18, receive support for Bluetooth Smart and, maybe, OpenGL ES 3.0.
